L7 Gig Poster

A gig poster that never was. Several years ago I worked with promoters at the Showbox in Seattle, WA to create a poster design for the punk band, L7 who were touring at the time. Iterating on various ideas, many of which are not even included here, I developed various poster ideas based upon pulp comics, super heroes and old punk zines. We came close to a final design, but ultimately⁠—and unfortunately⁠—the entire project fell through. The version shown here was my favorite of the various iterations I worked through.

I’ve included the original sketch as well as color comps. I created a final 3D variant as well as a non-3D poster, with slightly different colors.
